Pret puts vegan croissants on the menu

Its £1.70 ‘very berry’ croissant joins growing range of plant-based pastries on high street

Pret a Manger will next week become the first major high street coffee chain in the UK to sell vegan croissants, as consumer demand for plant-based foods continues to soar.

Its brand new product uses margarine and sunflower oil to recreate the buttery, light texture of the traditional French pastry.
