Two men charged as police uncover alleged terrorist plot targeting central Sydney

Three suspects arrested after federal and NSW officers raid six properties in city’s west

Two men have been charged after police uncovered an alleged Islamic State-inspired plot to attack several targets including police stations, consulates and churches in Sydney’s central business district.

Federal and New South Wales counter-terrorism police raided six properties in Sydney’s west on Tuesday morning and arrested three Sydney men aged 20, 23 and 30.
